Got up to the shoulders and right humerus done so far. It previously had a neck and the spine was one continuous piece but it melted and fell off when I attached the cross piece for the shoulders. Ah well, will be easy enough to reattach.

Scales are 31ish gauge steel, the wires are 1/8 steel TIG filler rods and 1/8 and 5/32 7018 SMAW electrodes(duds from being left out). All TIG welded.

I actually meant to post these awhile back as I have actually started building this dragon out of steel. I've got up to the shoulders done and I'm probably gonna scrap the idea of hip fans due to time and the material I'm using being super thin. Tacking paper thin metal to paper thin metal just for hip fans seems like a bad idea.

I'm slowly working on a cardstock template for what will hopefully become a small steel sculpture. Templates are good, it'll give me a good idea how big the thing will be and will save a lot of metal in the long run.

Having never done much in the way of complex papercraft type work, it is going kinda slow. I went through 5 heads before getting this one.
